OUR RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL
In the creation of each trip, we seek to take an informed and responsible approach to minimizing the ecological footprint of our activities and instead encourage the positive impact they can have. Whether it is on the local economy, the environment, or through collaborations with our carefully selected direct partners around the world, we want to make a difference and support sustainable travel.
As part of this approach, we also offer our travelers the possibility to offset the carbon emissions of their flights in order to counter the negative consequences of tourism linked to air travel.
HOW?
We were keen to support a project against deforestation in Ghana, in partnership with the company Greentripper, whose main mission is to neutralize the CO2 impacts of travelers. This project also aims to improve the living conditions of local populations. It was very important for us to support a project whose outcome went beyond carbon offsetting and whose positive impact was in the health, social and economic fields.
THE PROJECT
In Ghana, the collection of charcoal for conventional cooking methods is drastically reducing the country's tropical forests. Beyond this negative impact on the environment, the use of this fuel harms the health of the population. The aim of the project we support via Greentripper is to support the development and distribution of cooking towers in order to save several million trees, stimulate economic activity and improve sanitary conditions in Ghana.
