Near the border with Tanzania, the park now covers 1100 km2.

It is crossed by the Kagera River, which gave it its name. It also has two lakes: Shakani and Ihema.

 

If you dream of discovering wild animals, and to traverse the savannah without finding yourself in a crowd of 4x4, this park is for you. Giraffes, buffalos, zebras, hippos, ... the great symbols of wildlife are all present. 

You will appreciate its calm, its silence and to be alone in the middle of these majestic animals.

 

Do not hesitate to take a break near one of the lakes, in addition to the herds of animals that will come to drink, you will be surprised by the concentration of birds, one of the most impressive of the continent.
